Frequently Asked Questions

Or things NJ thinks you would like to know!

Ye can type some bollix in the search field and see what NJ thought you were asking for! Or sit down and I will get ye a drink while you scroll through NJ droning on! - Siobhán

How do I navigate the site?

I have tried to make this simple.

The Inis Fíor logos are the home buttons — just click them.

The Ireland image in the header is the quick navigation button to the world codex just click it.

The whole site works on the back and forward buttons in your browser, or the back button on your mobile. None of this don't use the back button malarky on this website.

There are two main ways to navigate:

  1. Buttons on screen to drill down for more information. Some images are clickable so go on have a go ye might be surprised.

  2. The main navigation is via the Codex menu. Take a look — it's nice.

You can also use the links at the bottom of each screen.

And please scroll down — there is a lot to this world and I wouldn't want you to miss out just because you didn't use your scroll button!

How was the website designed?

Luckily, or some would say unfortunately, I was a software engineer before I was mad enough to try to write. The site is designed by my fair hand using Wix. If you are a budding author or worldbuilder I am only too happy to answer questions via the contact form. It would be nice if you logged on and subscribed first though.

Why do I have to log on to see the full website?

A lot of work has gone into the site and it reveals a great deal about the world. I would appreciate you logging on so I know you are interested. There is a subscribe checkbox when creating your account — untick it if you prefer. You can also unsubscribe at any time in your account settings. I will only contact you when I have something interesting to say or there is new content on the site. I'm not a marketing company. It's just me at my desk.

~ Are Irish swear words ... you know swearing?

Well if you think they are swearing you are talking a load of bollix. Its just a colourfull way of expressing anger excitement and all those feelings of exuberance most Irish people are prone to, especially Siobhán.

~ Why a tilde ~ ?

You are a clever fecker you typed a tilde into the search bar. NJ doesn't know i put this FAQ in. Now, don't go telling NJ or he will start writing me out of the good scenes!!

NJ thinks your mad if you are asking these kind of questions, so they have there own category.

They appear last in the list so if you want to see them all you need to scroll all the way to the end.
